Jesus Washes the Disciples Feet

Today we will talk about Jesus' love for the Lord. We all know the story of Jesus washing the disciples feet. If you don't, Jesus washed the disciples feet to show God his love and devotion for him. He loved all of the people around him, and he was going to show that by washing everyone's feet. Love someone until the end.

This all connects to the cross. Jesus' most loving thing he did for the Lord was died on the cross for our sins. He gave his own life for our sinful selves. This is an example of how we should love each other as brothers and sisters of Jesus Christ. He wants us to love each other, and treat each other with respect and kindness.

"What I am doing you do not understand now, but afterward you will understand." - John 13:7

The disciples didn't understand why Jesus was washing each one of their feet. They didn't get the concept or reasoning for doing so. He was doing this in order to show the love he had for his brothers and sisters and the love he had for God. It was to make the disciples realize that, that is how we should treat one another.

We will never rise up and be as wonderful as our Maker. He will forever be our Father, and he is in control. We should do the things that God has asked of us, and he will forever bless us if we do so. We all should show our love for God by being kind and loving towards the people surrounding us. There are numerous ways of showing God that you love him. Being kind to everyone, is just one way. Do your best at doing all kinds of things to show your dying love for him.

For you are just one person, but one person can change the world. Are you that one?

The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all.
Amen.

Enjoy Life with the One You Love.

You should enjoy your life and age with the one you love. Become best friends, be grateful, honest, truthful, loving, and never become rude or disrespectful to one another. Enjoy your lives together. For your lives are now as one.

"Enjoy life with the wife whom you love, all the days of your vain life that he has given you under the sun, because that is your portion in life and in your toil at which you toil under the sun." - Ecclesiastes 9:9

For the young lovers, do not be in a rush to find the love of your life. For you need to grow and learn who you are as an individual before you take on a serious relationship. Experience the things that you need to experience. Get yourself situated and all figured out and then you shall become truly serious. God will put that person in your life when he feels the time is right. Love does not wait on anything, but the right moment. You may be in love when you are somewhat young, but if you do - do keep the Lord in your relationship, and do not become sexually immoral. Keep God in your relationship, let him be the number one priority. For, he has everything under control. Do not rush or get ahead of yourselves, and just let things go as time goes along. Be patient. That is the main thing to keep in mind. Patience is the key. If you love that certain someone, then you are willing to wait and grow and be together until that time you are old enough to be ready.

Again, enjoy life with the one you love. Experience things together. Do things you have never done before. Keep an open-mind. Travel the country, or the world. You will experience things together as a married couple, and you should make the best of it!

Live your life to the fullest, and never look back. Make wise decisions and live your lives for the Lord.

The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all.
Amen.

Remember Your Creator in Your Youth.

In the years and days of your youth, you should always keep your faith strong. It may be hard, and you may not understand a lot of things about the Bible. You can at least ask some adults, or your parents questions if you are skeptical. Don't be scared, just ask. Ask your preacher if you aren't comfortable asking your parents or another adult.

"Remember also your Creator in the days of your youth," - Ecclesiastes 12:1

Just because you are young does not mean you are foolish, make yourself a wonderful image and example for the Lord. Stay strong in your faith, continue to learn about his ways. Be mature and wise as you age. Never lose your way, and never forget you can always go to him with anything you may need. We will grow and mature as time goes along, and mature with God. He will help you, if you let him.

The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all.
Amen.

Church-Goers this is for You.

A lot of people throughout the world attend church on a regular basis. Does that make you a Christian, because you go to church majority of the time? It can, and it cannot. You could sit on the front pew of church every Sunday morning and not be a true Christian. You have to be the one wanting to go to church, you have to be the one to want to go and worship him on his day. You have to do the things behind going to church as well.

I've heard of people saying that "The sermon was really long today; I'd like to get out earlier." Are you truly that self-absorbed that you cannot take an hour of the whole entire week and sit down in the Lord's house and worship him? That is pitiful, and not a Christian way of doing. We should be worshiping him a tremendous more amount than just an hour of each week. We all should devote our lives to the Lord, and worship him every day of every week.

"Praise the Lord! Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his might heavens!" - Psalm 150:1

Have you truly ever thought about that? That a lot of people can go to church every Sunday and as they leave the Lord's sanctuary they go and repetitively sin. Some may not even listen to what is being said as the service is going along. Listen to the words of God, and worship him in grace and love. Love the Lord our God. Praise him, forever more.

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him." - John 3:16-17

For you should go to worship God in his house for the true and right reasons. Never forget who has your life in the palm of their hands.

The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all.
Amen.

He is the Way, and the Truth, and the Life.

He is the Way, and the Truth, and the Life.

He is the Way. He is the Way of light, he can lead you to the light, he is the Way to become truly human. He is the Way for everything. No other Way is true.

He is the Truth. He is the Truth of all things. Never has he lied to us, or has he let us down. He is truthful, and as we are humans we all continue to lie in our everyday lives (sometimes not even knowing). Remember that he is the truth, and you cannot hide a single lie from him. You can hide them from the people surrounding you, but not him. He knows all.

He is the Life. He is the Way of Life. If you let him be in your Life, you will have eternal life. You will have a better life, and a much more peaceful, and loving lifetime. He is the Life of all lives.

"I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." - John 14:6

No one will come to the Father except through Jesus Christ. You shall except the Father and the Son, Jesus Christ.

"Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will do, because I am going to the Father. Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it." - John 14:12-14

He is the Way, and the Truth, and the Life. Forever and ever shall it be and stay that way. Follow his Way, be Truthful, and live your Life for him.

The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all.
Amen.

Jesus Is Coming.

You all may have a different approach on this, but I have mine. Christians are all waiting for the Lord's second coming. He is coming soon, and will come when he knows is right. He would like us to keep his word, and follow his ways and commandments during that time between. He is coming one of these days.

"And behold, I am coming soon. Blessed is the one who keeps the words of the prohecy of this book." - Revelations 22:7

None of us know when his second coming is, and we all just shall wait and see. Do not add any words to this book, and do not go against his words for you are sinning. Do not take away the words either, do not take any words away from this book for you have sinned.

"I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book, and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book. He who testifies to these things says, "Surely I am coming soon." Amen. Come Lord Jesus!"" - Revelations 22:18-20

Keep the words of this book, and follow his word. I will continually say that over and over, and I will never stop saying it. For this book is here to help us lead a Christian life, the life that God intended us all to have and live. This is a life book. A book that will guide you through your lifetime. The most important book known to man-kind. The book that will help you through tough, good, hard, and easy times.

"And he said to me, "Do not seal up the words of the prophecy of this book, for the time is near. let the evildoer still do evil, and the filthy still be filthy, and the righteous still do right, and the holy still be holy."" - Revelations 22:10-11

In the time being before Jesus Christ makes his second coming, we shall all better ourselves for the Lord. Make ourselves a better Christian, and devote each and every day towards him. For you will have to live up to your wrong-doings and confess to the Lord our God. You will answer to him. You will confess your sins, and repent.

"And he said to me, "These words are trustworthy and true. And the Lord, the God of the spirtis of the prophets, has sent his angel to show his servants what must soon take place." - Revelations 22:6

This book is the most valuable thing that this world affords. Cherish it and do not abuse his word.

The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all.
Amen.

Prayer for Spiritual Strength.

Prayer does marvelous wonders if you just talk to him. But, I will tell you and advise you to not do what I have done in the past. Do not just talk to him, and ask for help when in trouble or in need. Talk to him during the good and bad times. Thank him for the good, and ask for guidance during the bad. It's not respectful towards him, if you take advantage of him in that way. That is how I see it, you may disagree with me. However, if we all just asked for God's help and prayed when times got tough we would not be thankful. That goes back to my previous post. Prayer does so many things, and trust me... He is the ONLY one that listens all the time. He hears each and every one of your prayers.  Not a single one goes unheard. It may not be when you want it to happen, or when you think it should happen. It happens when he knows it's right, or it may not happen at all because he doesn't want it to. Respect his wise ways, and do not question. For he knows what is right.

"For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith - that you, being rooted and grounded in love," - Ephesians 3:14-17

Strengthen your faith, and have the constant prayer you know you should with your Father. If you feel that no one ever listens to you, you should talk to him. I know he listens. He listens every time. He can strengthen your spirit and your inner being if you just pass your life over into his hands. Live your life for him, and never deny him in front of others. Bow your head and pray with him. Have your special one on one time with him regularly. The most important relationship you can have, is with God. Make it special. Have a strong relationship with him, and pray. Prayer is magical, and can do more than you can ever imagine. If you do it for the right reasons.

"And to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen." - Ephesians 3:19-21

Now, I understand that this post and the previous one are somewhat alike. I have done plenty of posts based out of Ephesians, and I will broaden here within the next few weeks. I hope you enjoy, and I wish for you to all continue reading. May God's grace be with you each and every day, from now and forever more. Amen.

The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all.
Amen.

Spiritual Blessings in Christ.

Christ sends us all numerous blessings that we all do not always appreciate. There are different types of blessings, and the one I will write about today is spiritual blessings. The Lord does wonderful works in our attitudes, if you will let him. The Lord has blessed me with a the strength that I need in my everyday life. A few years ago, and I still do ask him regularly to give me the strength to make it through all the little troubles that I face. Each time he has not let me down, and he just keeps picking me back up if I fall. I'm in safe hands, and I trust him more than anyone alone.

"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In love he predestined us for adoption through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will, to the praise of his glorious grace, with which he has blessed us in the Beloved." - Ephesians 1:3-6

I am a blessed individual, and I take those blessings for granted sometimes. I don't appreciate everything that I should. God has sent spiritual blessings in my soul and has strengthened it as well. He does marvelous work, and I couldn't dare deny him. Are you thankful for the things you have in your life? Including the people. Are you are you thankful for the small and big things in your life? I am, but not as much as I should be. I have started to thank God for the small and big things he has done for me. Not just the big, because the small are just as great.

"Making known to us the mystery of his will, according to his purpose, which he set forth in Christ as a plan for the fullness of time, to unite all things in him, things in heaven and things on earth." - Ephesians 1:9-10

He is the reason for all of my blessings, and I should be thanking him more.

Never forget how blessed you are, and never forget the one who made you that way.

The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all.
Amen.

Marks of the True Christian.

Does anyone know the meaning of a true Christian? If you look it up and read the meaning of a true Christian in the Bible, it will tell you. Most of us think we are a true Christian already, when some of us truly do not know for sure if we are or not.

"Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good. Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor." - Romans 12:9-10

Do you show hatred toward others? Do you show honor instead of hate? When it becomes tough do you take the easy way out? Bless the ones that are in trouble. Pray for the needy. Pray for the poor, help everyone in need.

"Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer. Contribute to the needs of the saints and seek to show hospitality. Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse them. Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep. Live in harmony with one another. Repay no one evil for evil, but give thought to do what is honorable in the sight of all. If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peacefully with all." - Romans 12:14-18

If you wish for evil on one, then you are not a true Christian. You need to love your brothers and sisters of Jesus Christ and live peacefully with one another as God intended for us to do so. Be loving toward everyone no matter the circumstances. No matter what you have gone through with someone, or what someone has done to you never become evil. Do not let the devil overcome you.

"Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good." - Romans 12:21

Read and understand the true meaning of a Christian. Do his word and follow his commandments. Do not be hateful.

The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all.
Amen.

By Grace Through Faith.

God has a plan for each and every one of us. We all don't know that plan, and we shouldn't try to do otherwise. Follow God's plan, and go along his path. Do not be boastful. Everyone has their reason for being here. He has his reasonings for everything, do not question.

"But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ - by grace you have been saved - and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus." - Ephesians 2:4-6

He loves us even though we all are sinners and continue to sin. He forgives us, he loves us, he loves each and every one of us. He has saved us, and he has us in the palm of his hands. Do not go against God's plan. His love is the most powerful of them all. It's unconditional, and never ending.

"For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before-hand, that we should walk in them." - Ephesians 2:8-10

We should do the good works of the Lord. We all were made for good works, even though not all of us do the good works. Walk in his light, and become truly human. Be faithful to him, and follow his plan.

The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all.
Amen.

Be Kind To One Another.

Have you ever had someone say something cruel to you? Which makes you want to say something hurtful back to them. It happens to everyone at some point. Turn the other cheek and walk along. Do not stoop down to that level and be rude to your brother/sister. Yes, they are your brother/sister. That is your brother and/or sister of Jesus Christ. We are God's children. It may hurt to hear such things come out of someone's mouth, but do not be the same. That person is being foolish and do not let them get the best of you. Ignore them. Ignore their words. They will soon get the punishment for speaking of words that are harmful.

"Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear." - Ephesians 4:29

Build each other up. Be friends. Be gracious and loving to one another.

"Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you." - Ephesians 4:32

Do not hold a person hostage for something. Be forgiving. Forgive everyone for everything. For it is God that will judge them at the gates of heaven not you. That is his place.

The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all.
Amen.

The Love of between Lovers.

God made man and woman. He intended for each of us to have a soulmate, and blend together as one.

"Then the Lord God said, "It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him." - Genesis 2:18

God made a woman for a man. The love between a woman and man should be treated with kindness, love, care, faithfulness, maturity and honesty. You should treat each other as a best friend, as when you get married you have made vows that you will be together through sickness and health, for richer or poorer. That is your best friend, and you shall treat one another with respect. Compromise will come into play very soon. You both have to learn to compromise and give some to get some.

"Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrong-doing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends. So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love." - 1 Corinthians 13:4-8,13

Be faithful to one another. Most importantly have a rich relationship with the Lord together. Have prayer together, have honesty and dedication to the Lord together. You are now as one. You have to put God before each other, and then yourselves. He is always number one, and you then can put the other things behind him. But, never put anything before him.

He is the Lord our God, and give him the respect he deserves.

"Husbands love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her. In the same way husbands should love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. For one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ does the church, because we are members of his body. Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh. However, let each one of you love his wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband." - Ephesians 5:25,28-31,33

Do not be foolish and childish with love. Treat it with respect. Stay truthful and faithful the entire time.

The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all.
Amen.

Testimony.

"Make me understand the way of your precepts, and I will meditate on your wondrous works. My soul melts away for sorrow; strengthen me according to your word!" -Psalm 119:27-28

How is your life right now? Is it good, bad, great, or awful? I can tell you that mine has been going a lot smoother and easier since I have let God take control over my life. My life has made a dramatic change over the last couple of years and I can say I am truly blessed. His perfect love has gotten ahold of me and has truly changed my life for the good. I wouldn't ever have it any other way. I know that I am not ever alone, and I am surrounded with his grace and love.

"Teach me, O Lord, the way of your statutes; and I will keep it to the end. Give me understanding, that I may keep your law and observe it with my whole heart." -Psalm 119:33-34

My life was a bit different before I let God take over my life and be in control. I was unhappy, and I was sad. I felt alone and I felt the sense of depression. I heard a sermon at church one Sunday, and decided to start reading the Bible more than I have. I have seen so many helpful words that have been spoken by the Lord our God. I know now that I am never alone, I always have him with me every where I go. Each step of the way he is guiding me to the light. He is the Light of the World. I am trusting in him, and letting it all in his hands for he has it in better control than I do myself. My life is heading in the right direction, and I can't wait to see what my future has in store for me. It's exciting. I have to be patient and live each day for the next.

"This is my comfort in my affliction, that your promise give me life." -Psalm 119:50

Please keep me out of pain and out of heartbreak. Give me the strength to carry on throughout my lifetime. I love you Lord.

The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all.
Amen.

Asking for Forgiveness.

Do you ask for forgiveness when you have done wrong? Do you have that little person sitting on your shoulder telling you that you have done wrong? I sure do when I make a mistake. It feels awful, and I believe you all know what I am talking about. If you make a mistake and you know you have done wrong doing, you should ask for forgiveness. You need to understand what you have done, and learn to not make the same mistake continuously over and over again. Learn from your mistakes and gain knowledge. God forgives all of our sins, but in asking for forgiveness you need to learn from your mistakes. You cannot just ask Jesus Christ for forgiveness and do wrong doing again and expect to be forgiven. It does not work that way.

"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
1 John 1:9

Repent, and confess to God of your mistakes. He will forgive you, every time. He is a loving God, and will never turn you away. It is your responsibility to go to him with your needs. You have to make that step, ask for guidance and help for the times ahead. He will guide you. Remember, stay on the path and do not stray afar.

The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all.
Amen.

Compassion and Sympathy.

Compassion: a feeling of deep sympathy and sorrow for another who is stricken by misfortune, accompanied by a strong desire to alleviate the suffering.

Sympathy: harmony of or agreement in feeling, as between persons or on the part of one person with respect to another.

I will say this phrase continually throughout my blog, "We are brothers and sisters of Jesus Christ, and we shall treat each other that way." We do not treat one another as we would ourselves. "You shall love your neighbor as yourself."

"But if anyone has the world's goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God's love abide in him?" - 1 John 3:17

If you see a person in need and you do not help or symathize with them, you are not loving the Lord your God. Help anyone in need, and be there for your brothers and sisters. Take pity in the needy, and give them their needs. Do not be boastful. Help and serve for all of God's children. Live in harmony with one another, and be compassionate and sympathetic.

"Finally, all of you, have unity of mind, sympathy, brotherly love, a tender heart, and a humble mind. Do not repay evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary, bless, for to this you were called, that you may obtain a blessing." - 1 Peter 3:8-9

Let these words inspire you, and help the others surrounding you. I have heard from some of my friends, (not going to say any names) "I will give them money to help them out, but I don't want to serve and be around them. It's just not my thing." What kind of thing is that to do? You will do some good, but not do the work behind it? Do not be selfish and think you have better things you can do. Help the ones in need, for you would want the help and service if you were the one in their shoes. Just remember, you are all blessed in some way. Pray for the ones in need, give them compassion and sympathy. For some need it more than others.

"Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good. Love one another with brotherly affection. Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer. Contribute to the needs of the saints and seek to show hospitality. Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse them. Rejoice with those who rejoice and weep with those who weep." - Romans 12:9-10,12-15

The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all.

Walk in Love.

"Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children. And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God." - Ephesians 5:1-2

Walk in love. Never forget who died for our sins. He gave his own life for our precious lives. Worship him, and praise him. He sacrificed his very life for our selfish souls.

"Let there be no filthiness nor foolish talk nor crude joking, which are out of place, but instead let there be thanksgiving." - Ephesians 5:4

Do not let yourself become so jokingly that when you talk you leave the person you are talking to left wondering and confused. Let every loved one know for sure how you feel towards them. You don't want them left to figure it out on their own. Remind them daily how much they mean to you, and thank them for everything they do for your sake. I also am a bad one at this.

"Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. Therefore do not associate with them; for at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light, and try to discern what is pleasing to the Lord." - Ephesians 5:6-10

Always try and please the Lord, for he is your Maker. Walk in Love.

"Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is." - Ephesians 5:17

Do not be foolish and go against God's word. Follow his ways, and go along his path he has set for you. It's your choice to go off the trail, but don't be foolish when there is a path to show you the way.

The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all.
Amen.

Looking Down on Others

Do not look down on a single person. Do not look down on someone because of their age. Do not look down on a person for their lifestyle. Do not look down on someone for their looks. If you don't get my point, I shall say it again... Do not look down on a single person. Give everyone the respect you wish you shall have. Be known for your wise words and speak words for the Lord above. Respect and honor each other. Devote yourself to the Lord, and don't let anyone look down on you children of God.

"Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity." - 1 Timothy 4:12

Do not let older individuals look down on you because you are the youth. Be responsible, joyful, and mature. However, do act your age and you shall expect for people to treat you that way. Your attitude is important, and your actions speak louder than words. Set an example for others, and show them your personality. Speak the words of God, and spread the word. For all shall worship the Lord, and glorify his name.

The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all.

Amen.
