Hearing and Doing the Word.

There is a difference between hearing and doing God's word. You have to first hear it and then go and do the word of God. They both are required to accomplish this. Not just one or the other. You need to know the Word, and understand the Word. For these are God's words and we shall respect them and do them in every way.

"Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger; for the anger of man does not produce the righteousness that God requires. Therefore put away all filthiness and rampant wickedness and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls." - James 1:19-21

Put away all of your wicked ways, and follow God's word. Begin to learn God's ways and understand it, and then you shall go out and do his word as a Christian. You cannot do God's word if you do not study and understand it. Respect his commandments, and follow them. You shall listen to him.

"But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks intently at his natural face in a mirror. For he looks at himself and goes away and at once forget what he was like. But the one who looks into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and perseveres, being no hearer who forgets but a doer who acts, he will be blessed in his doing." - James 1:22-25

Be known of doing and hearing of God our Father. Be a doer in God's word, and a hearer in God's word. For we should do this in respect and honor of our Lord Almighty.

Be a faithful Christian and do both of these in honor of the one above that has our lives in his hands.

The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all.
Amen.
