This post is in Honor of my Father.

Okay, this is an older picture but that is my daddy.

Daddy. Daddy is a marvelous word. I am glad I am one that has a father in her life, and I am blessed that I am able to have both biological parents raising me. I do not talk hateful towards the others that do not have this, that would be foolish of me. I have a father that is dedicated in raising me the right way, and he is never going to give up. He has seen me through some tough times throughout my teenage life, and I wouldn't be the same without him there to help push me along. He does a wonderful job at keeping this family together, and he never has given up on us three girls. We are quite a handful, and I admire his strength. He has so many talents, and so many admirable things about his character. Any question that I ever have I can go to him and ask him. He will have the answer, and he will tell me anything I'd like to know. I would like to thank God for blessing me with such a wonderful father, and never letting him give up on me.

I haven't been the easiest child to raise because I am stubborn. I will admit, and I won't deny that. He taught me respect, and he taught me to respect others. He has taught me everything that I know. He is a wise person, and I wouldn't ever question him. I want to thank my daddy for putting up with me over the years, and that I love him with all of my heart. I want to make him proud, and I want to make him a happy father. Most children want to make their parents proud, and I am one that I will strive for that, and I won't give up. I love you Daddy with my whole heart, and I will forever love you. Thank you God for blessing me with a wonderful Daddy that loves me unconditionally. I am truly blessed.

I love you Daddy. Forever and Always.

Love,
Your first born daughter, Sarah.

The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all.
Amen.

In Honor of my Mother.

This is another special person in my life, and the posts for this week are not in order of how special they are to me. That would be ridiculous! It is in random order. Yesterday was Shane because it was our anniversary. Anywho, this is my mother. Her name is Mary Crawford, and she is the best mother a young girl could possibly ask for. She is my best friend, and I know we have our difficult times, but I will forever love her and respect her. Mommy, I love you! She has been through numerous circumstances that I never could imagine dealing with, and I admire her strength and courage through life. This woman always keeps a smile on her face, and never does she let anyone get her down. She looks at things through the bright side, for example, the other day it was pooring down raining, and this woman says I think it's going to clear up. I could never say that if I saw it just raining as hard as it could! Could you do that?

I admire this lady's faith. She is a Sunday School teacher, a Deacon, a member of a circle group, a regular attendee of the church's Bible Study group, and probably many more things that I cannot list. I wish to be this involved in my church one day when I am older. She is a dedicated believer in Christ, and I admire my mother for raising me in a Christian household. My father and my mother both did a fantastic job at parenting in my eyes, and I thank you both for doing so. I can go to my mother with anything that I possibly want to talk about, and she will not judge me or get angry with me. She teaches me what's right and what is wrong. That is what a mother should do. She comforts me in times of sadness, and never lets me have a sad face on.

I love you Mommy, and I would like to thank God for giving me such a loving, courageous, graceful, caring, faithful, and wonderful woman as my mother. I am proud to call her mine. Thank you for giving her the strength to get through raising a girl like me. I admire my mother in numerous ways, and forever will I ever love her.

I love you Mommy.

Forever and ever shall I love you with my whole heart.

The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all.
Amen.

Through Faith and by Faith.

Do everything through faith and by the faith of God. You shall live your life through the faith of God, and do his word. Faith is a very important thing in my life, and I do not know if it is that way for you all.

The Righteous Shall Live by Faith.
"For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith for faith, as it is written, "The righteous shall live by faith."" - Romans 1:16-17

Again, I have said this previously before, and I shall say it again... "Do not be ashamed for being a believer in Christ. Live by faith, and never shall it be any other way.

The Righteousness of God Through Faith.
"But now the righteousness of God has been manifested apart from the law, although the Law and the Prophets bear witness to it - the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe. For there is no distinction: for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God put forward as a propitiation by his blood, to be received by faith. This was to show God's righteousness, because in his divine forbearance he had passed over former sins. It was to show his righteousness at the present time, so that he might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus." - Romans 3:21-26

Everything through faith. Faith is everything to me, and I continue to try to strengthen my faith. I am a sinner just as everyone else surrounding me is, but that does not mean that we cannot live a life full of God. Faith is important in many and numerous circumstances. When looking for a partner in life you need to have similarities to work (at least in my opinion). When I believe I am looking for someone to hang around or be in a relationship with I look for a dedicated Christian. I believe in God, and I do that through faith and by faith. I have faith in the Lord above, and I will never give up in trying to strengthen my faith from him. Christ died on the cross for our sins, and he loves us that much to die for his friends. I love you Lord, and I lift my voice to worship you. I am writing this blog to share my faith with others, and to get God's word out there.

Do you have faith? Do you have faith in the Lord?

I do, and I will not doubt in him.

The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all.
Amen.

Blessed to be a Blessing.

Today I am going to write about how blessed I am. I know that there are times when it seems like nothing is going your way, and it never seems like anything is going to go right. Everyone experiences times such as that. Life was not expected to be easy, and it is going to be hard. My parents have raised me to be thankful for everything I have, and I cannot be boastful and expect to deserve anything. I was raised that way, and maybe some of you were not. I was taught to be thankful for the little things that some may not have the opportunity to have. There are groups of people out there that are not lucky enough to sleep in a warm house each and every night, and there are people out there that do not get to take a shower on a daily basis. Things that are a normal thing for us should not be taken advantage of; be thankful for each and every good thing that happens in your life. Numerous of us are very blessed and do not even know it. Some people do not appreciate things, and it just bothers me.

"I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mind for you all making my prayer with joy, because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now." - Philippians 1:3-5

We are all blessed in all sorts of ways. I understand that some people are not as blessed as some others, and they may not be blessed in many ways at all. I don't want to see people lose faith in God because things aren't so well in their life. You can develop a loving and strong relationship with our God, so you should ask for his guidance and help to bless you. Ask in his name, and never lose the faith. Never be boastful, and be understanding that you are all children of God and we are blessed people. Remember that you are loved, and don't lose hope. Ask for help from your brothers and sisters of Jesus Christ, and they will help pick you back up. You are never alone, and you are blessed. We are blessed to be a blessing. Never forget how lucky we all are to be in God's world, and to be living in his presense.

Blessed.

I am blessed, and I have to remember that I am a child of God. I am loved by him, and that is what I tell myself when I start to get discouraged and think that my world is coming to an end. What do you tell yourself when you start to think in such a way that not a single person loves you?

Tell yourself that you are a child of God, and God will never stop loving you. Never. He's always there.

The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all.
Amen.

The Parable of the Lost Sheep.

We are all sheep in a way. We are all God's sheep. We all tend to stray away from the Lord and his ways. Have you ever thought of it that way? As children of God we are sinners, and we are all considered lost. He has love for each of us that is unconditional and never ending. We are his sheep, and we should stay with our master. We should all follow him, and listen to him. Never should any of us stray away, but if that happens he will lead us back.

"See that you do not despise one of these little ones. For I tell you that in heaven their angels always see the face of  my Father who is in heaven. What do you think? If a man has a hundred sheep and one of them has gone astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine on the mountains and go in search of the one that went astray? And if he finds it, truly, I say to you, he rejoices over it more than over the ninety-nine that never went astray. So it is not the will of the Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones should perish." - Matthew 18:10-14

As Christians and believers in Christ we should all follow God's plan. If we astray from God's path we should ask for his help in coming back onto the path. Ask and you will receive in his name. Are you a lost sheep in need of God's grace and love? I believe the answer to that question is that we are all lost sheep in need of God's love and guidance. Not a single person should be singled out to be lost in the world, for we are all in need of the love of God. We should ask for his guidance in life to live a life with love for the Father.

Do you have the love and dedication to live a life full of God? Are you going to live your life for him or yourself? Follow his path, and listen to his word. If you should get away from the herd you should ask for his help, and he will soon find you and rejoice with gladness.

Follow his path that he has set for all of us, and keep the other sheep surrounding you near you with love. Follow your shepherd, which is the Lord our God.

The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all.
Amen.

Jesus Walks on Water.

Can you walk on water? I know that I cannot do such a thing, and neither can you walk on water.

I will tell the story for the ones that do not or may not know it.

"Immediately he made the disciples get into the boat and go before him to the other side, while he dismissed the crowds. And after he had dismissed the crowds, he went up on the mountain by himself to pray. When evening came, he was there alone, but the boat by this time was a long way from the land, beaten by the waves, for the wind was against them. And in the fourth watch of the night he came to them, walking on the sea. But when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were terrified, and said, "It's a ghost!" and they cried out in fear. But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, "Take heart; it is I. Do not be afraid." - Matthew 14:22-27

"And Peter answered him, "Lord if it is you, command me to come to you on the water." He said, "Come." So Peter got out of the boat and walked on the water and came to Jesus. But when he saw the wind, he was afraid, and beginning to sink he cried out, "Lord, save me." Jesus immediately reached out his hand and took hold of him, saying to him, "O you of little faith, why did you doubt?" And when they got into the boat, the wind ceased. And those in the boat worshiped him, saying, "Truly you are the Son of God." - Matthew 14:28-33

Peter was afraid, and he didn't have faith or trust in Jesus Christ. He was afraid, and didn't trust him. Is that something any of us have trouble with? Do any of you have doubts that God is really there or that Jesus Christ is the Son of God? I'm sure some of us do without saying anything. My solution to when I question such things is I go to the Bible, and I start to read the word of God. It all helps to strengthen my faith, and it reassures myself that God is my Father, and Jesus Christ is the Son of God. How do you reassure yourself? I'd like to hear your ways, and just message me or comment on this post to answer these questions.

Do not doubt in the Lord. Peter and the others were asking Jesus to prove himself that it was he. Jesus had to prove to the people that it was truly him. Would you question that?

Peter cried out to the Lord to save him and to help him. He was there in a matter of a second to help Peter. The Lord Jesus Christ is there for everyone of us. He's there by our side, and never will he ever turn us away. Ask in his name when you ask for his help. Do everything in the name of the Lord. Worship his praise, and never lose the faith.

The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all.
Amen.

march 1st, 2011

March has begun, and another month has passed in 2011.

How?

How do you get God's word out there? or do you at all? I have seen individuals push Christianity or their religion on another person that doesn't believe the same thing as someone does. Is that right? Is it right, whereas the Bible says to spread the word of God? I have my own opinion and view on this subject, and I ask of you to respect my opinion. I believe it is our job to spread the word of God; however, it is one's decision if they want to worship our Lord. It's our responsibilities as Christians to spread the word, but that's as far as you can go with that. You cannot force an individual to believe; it is their decision whether they want to have faith in God.

I know some people that are not believers in Christ, but do I think of them differently as a person because they don't? The answer to that is yes and no. I'm a human, and I judge. I know it's wrong, and I shouldn't judge. I'm not perfect; therefore, I don't claim to be. I am working on that though; I will admit. It isn't easy to not assume something of one person if they aren't the same as yourself, is it? No. Not at all. We shall not judge.

"Judge not, that you be not judged." - Matthew 7:1

God loves us all. He even loves the ones that do not love him. He's here. If one asks me why I believe in God I will answer with this, "I have faith, and I cannot give a definite answer or proof other than to read the Bible. You have to have faith and hope." How do you answer questions that the non-believers ask you? Are you prepared to answer any of them? We all should be. We should be strong in our faith of God, and be able to answer those questions to help others out that aren't aware of God's love and grace. We need to strengthen our faith in reading the Bible more to be able to answer these questions. How are you going to strengthen your faith? Are you dedicated to Christ?

How are you getting God's word out in the world?

or are you?

I'm going to try, and one step in that direction is this blog for everyone and anyone to read.

The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all.
Amen.
